I’ve been wracking my brain trying to think of what to write about on Wednesdays – what topics will interest me enough to write and my readers enough to read.
I thought about doing Mental Health in the Media. There’s lots of coverage of bullying and teen suicides, which is all mental health related. I tossed around the idea of doing more “Tales of an ADHD Mom” or “Tales Out of School”. I thought about talking more about therapy and counseling techniques. I’ve been wracking my brain to come up with ideas that start with “W” just to keep the alliteration, but nothing seems to fit.
I have to admit there have been a number of times in the past I’ve just had little things I’ve wanted to share…nothing big, just a paragraph or two at most, but I haven’t shared those stories because it didn’t seem like enough to fill a post or because it had nothing to do with mental health.
So here’s what I’ve decided – Wednesdays will be Random Ramblings day. I like the idea of random. Sometimes I feel boxed in by the mental health category, especially when there’s something else going on that isn’t mental health related, but has me thinking. And ramblings, well I am good at rambling…on and on and on…just ask my friends.
Here’s my first rambling…
Today’s random rambling….
My daughter started high school this year and I was sent home information about signing up for the Parent Portal. Using this online portal I can access information about her attendance, her time table, the course outlines, etc.
I followed the instructions and they emailed me my confirmation with my username and password. My user name, and I’m not making this up, is “mcneaho”.
Not sure how I feel about that.
